Scalene White Paper

The Solution

Scalene is different than all other NFT systems

Files compatible with Scalene can be made using popular 3D modeling software such as blender, a free and opensource 3D Modeling software.
Alternatively, you can hire or partner with a 3D artist or use a CC0 licensed 3D file.
3D files can also be scanned from objects in real life, or created using a number of intelligent methods.
Every NFT contains 4 important parts. A 3D Object file, 3D token deposits, Metadata, and an image
3D Object File: GLB is an open source and self-contained standardized file format used to share 3D data. Precisely, it can contain information about 3D scenes, models, lighting, materials, node hierarchy and animations.
3D Token Deposit: Deposited when an NFT is created. Can be reclaimed by the NFT owner at any time by burning the NFT using the Shred function. This should be considered a last-resort option.
Metadata: NFT metadata is created using distribution %, Trait Name and Options. For example if you wanted to add an attack power for your NFTs, the Trait Name would be "Attack" and the options would contain each base attack # {6,8,10,14,18} and finally a percent range {20,20,20, 20,20}. This example, each attack value would be equally likely to find within the collection.
Image: Each 3D model generated by the system goes through a rendering process to take a picture of every NFT created which allows Scalene Collateralized NFTs to be compatible with Opensea and other NFT platforms.
Scalene Platform will accept any GLB file under 5 mb.
  • Create an entire collection of objects. Create Anything! Your collection could be avatars, race cars, metaverse furniture, 3D Pets. The number of opportunities are unlimited.
  • Create DAO or POAP NFTs quickly and easily with Scalene. Creating collections are useful for fundraising games and metaverses as well as growing your projects community.
Scalene NFTs have native use-cases, meaningful data, and contain real value.
Scalene is a Non-Custodial System Each NFT contract is owned by the deployer, and has its own minting DAPP where buyers can view your projects description, team, roadmap, etc.
Each NFT Collection has a Minting Price Set your minting price higher than the deposit price if you are selling art or fundraising a project. The projects usecase or art value should reflect the margin difference.
All Scalene Network NFTs are Deflationary
If a user decides to shred their NFT, the total supply of NFTs remaining will decrease.
  • Locking 3D tokens into an object is like storing tokens them away until a future date. when the NFT is sent to the shredding contract to convert back to 3D token. While there is no upfront cost for creating collections, Minimum lockup is 60 days.
  • The NFT owner can decide when the usefulness of the 3D NFT is no longer relevant. We aim to put the power back into the hands of NFT owners.
